Beautiful Babies

I prefer not to use many props on my photography. Often, with babies, though, I have to have "something" to occupy their attention, hence, the props you see. I would much rather use a personal object of your child's own choosing, such as their blanket, or favorite toy. I am also available for in-hospital portraits immediately following your child's birth. All natural light is used, in order to preserve your baby's skin tones and etc.

Awesome Armwrestlers

My husband has been a competitive armwrestler since 1989. He has won several state titles in Arkansas and Louisiana. This hobby has helped me to meet a lot of wonderful men and women that compete in the armwrestling circuit. I have met several National and World title holders, and do what I can to endorse Michael and Tonya Todd, whom you see in some of the photos in the sports gallery. They are a married couple that reside in Cabot, Arkansas. Michael and Tonya both represent various companies related to the "work out" products and nutrition.
I typically provide photography coverage of any armwrestling tournament my husband pulls in. Those photos are available for purchase on my site.

Super Sports

Other than children's photography, my favorite hobby is sporting events. I love pretty much all sports, and action shots are some of my favorites.

I try to cover a lot of the local football, baseball, softball, and soccer games. If you are interested in photos of your child playing their favorite sport, email me. I also provide individual and group shots, and sell trading cards through this site.

Wonderful Weddings

Wedding Prices are evaluated on a case by case basis, depending on what the client wants.
Pricing for weddings starts at $800. Contact me for details, and please see the bottom of this page for more info. Regretfully, I cannot provide wedding photography for less than $800, due to the rising costs of equipment, insurance, and lens rental pricing.

As your wedding photographer, I will take as many photos as necessary. I will be at your wedding for up to 4 hours. This normally averages about 200 shots, although it does sometimes vary and is quite a bit more. Many will be candid, non-posed shots and may or may not include the following:
Bride/Groom getting ready (finishing touches on makeup, hair, etc)
Flowergirl getting dressed, Ring bearer getting ready, book attendant,
Friends and Family (indoor or out, your preference), exterior shots of the church itself, and anything else you may request. Photos from during the ceremony itself will be taken using only existing light. (No flash)
If there are any specifics that you would like, please do not hesitate to ask. Although I do have certain guidelines to follow, it is NO PROBLEM whatsoever to have special requests. PLEASE do your best to help me ensure that all important parties are on time!
For the fee of $800.00, you will receive a (one) disc of all of your photos. With this disc you will also receive a copyright release that you will need to have your photos printed if you decide to print outside of the company on my website. THERE ARE NO PRINTS INCLUDED WITH THIS FEE. I will provide minimal editing and cropping with this fee. Any photo can be converted to black and white (while maintaining the color version of your photo, if you prefer.) They will also be available for purchase through my website, http://www.shelleysmithphotography.com. This company uses only professional paper, therefore this is where I strongly suggest you print.

The fee of $800 includes photos at ONE location. If your reception is not held immediately following your wedding, at the same location, there are additional fees that vary based on distance to the second location. (Typically, add $100 for a second location) This includes 4 hours of my time. Please take that into consideration when deciding what time you would like me to arrive.

A minimum retainer of 50% is required at the time the wedding date is booked by the client. The remaining balance is due at least three weeks prior to wedding date. All deposits are nonrefundable, in the event of a date change or wedding cancellation by the client for any reason. No photographs will be taken until payment is paid in full.

I am 30 years old
I have two daughters, Jordan & Karsyn
My husband and I have been married over 9 years
Although I love all forms of photography, my niche is definitely children and sports!
I prefer all natural light in my work, meaning that I very rarely use flash.
I am an on location photographer, and do not own a studio. This suits my style best, and due to the fact I have less overhead than most, it helps me offer you the best print pricing around!
I am a hands on photographer; which means I show up for all shoots (other than weddings) in jeans and a tshirt, ready to try out different angles, sit on the ground, and do whatever it takes to produce the style photo that my client wants.
I love to hear how you heard about me. I do have the advantage of advertising my work within Giggles and Grins in Northpark Village, but other than that, do not advertise, therefore I rely a lot on "word of mouth" advertisement.
